New Crochet Pattern Book

I have a big announcement for you!

Ready?
The new book is here!
Did you guess that is what I was going to say?

I worked for over six months developing the patterns for this book. I only included the best ones. I was able to come up with many fresh ways to use the Sharp Crochet Hook. I think you will all be happy when you get it! I am so happy with how it turned out!

You can order it here: http://sharpcrochethook.com/order-crochet-hooks.html

Introducing the Sharp Crochet Hook Pattern Book:

Here is the Sharp Crochet Hook and Pattern Book Combo Pack in it's awesome packaging (the plastic opens and closes so it can be reused).

It also has a hang hole so retailers will be happy. This picture isn't that great, but it gives you an idea.

Here is a quick sample of crochet patterns inside the book:

Plus, aren't the kids darling? I'm so lucky to have such talented people to work with. If you guys need a photographer or a model, Nicole and Amanda are highly recommended!

Check out these full sized pattern photos:

There are 18 unique crochet patterns in the book. Here is a sampling:

Sharp Crochet Hook Pattern Book (p. 6) The Sharp Crochet Hook easily crochets through knit and denim!

Sharp Crochet Hook Pattern Book (p.13)  Easily embellish a tank top with this beautiful pattern.

Sharp Crochet Hook Pattern Book (p.15)  Transform a pair of men's dress socks into these boot socks. Would be an excellent Christmas gift for a friend or daughter! And it only takes about an hour!

Sharp Crochet Hook Pattern Book (p.8)  Embellish a pair of everyday one size fits all gloves with this flower. Would be an excellent Christmas gift for a girl!

Sharp Crochet Hook Pattern Book (p.7)  These baby shoes are great because you crochet the upper part directly into faux-leather. The sole is much more durable than the traditional "baby-booties."

Sharp Crochet Hook Pattern Book (p.9)  Make a children's room name plate! So quick, easy, and cute!

Sharp Crochet Hook Pattern Book (p.12)  Use a kitchen towel or bandana and make a really cute apron! This would be a great Christmas or Birthday gift idea!

Sharp Crochet Hook Pattern Book (p.18)  Crochet an edging on ribbon to make a really great looking bracelet! Another great quick gift idea!

Sharp Crochet Hook Pattern Book (p.5)  Crochet an edging on a bandana. This would be so cute for Girl's Camp!

Sharp Crochet Hook Pattern Book (p.11)  The Sharp Crochet Hook goes through flannel so easily. This pattern shows you how to crochet around 5 double layer strips of flannel to create this stripe blanket. You use the Sharp Crochet Hook and crochet thread to make the first layer, then you use normal worsted weight yarn and a larger hook to make the scallop edge.

I hope you guys enjoy the book!

New marketing materials

I am super excited because I just signed up for a booth at the What a Woman Wants show at the South Towne Expo Center in Sandy, UT in Dec. I need to have something to hand people at our booth and put in the door bags so I thought postcards would be good.

I just sent the following designs to get printed (2 sided postcards)...

What do you think? There is a "bleed" so the outside 1/8" will actually be cut off. That's why the top and bottom don't really look centered.

Wish me luck at the Expo!

How about using the Sharp Crochet Hook for a shirt hem? I love this one with a gray shirt and black edging. The Sharp Crochet Hook glides right through the fabric, so it makes crocheting the edging so easy. Order yours today! www.sharpcrochethook.com.

Crochet and leather, welll helllo!

Did you know the Sharp Crochet Hook can crochet through leather? I got a strip of leather (about 2 inches long and about 7 1/2 inches wide), crocheted a zig-zag pattern, and used the ends of the crocheting to tie it closed. How's this bracelet for a great piece!? Crochet and leather, epic!

Maybe do the same technique for a headband!

Punk Black Valentine's Day Cards

In case pink Valentine's Day Cards aren't your thing, you rebel, you, here are two punk rocker options.

In the first one, I used the Sharp Crochet Hook to crochet beads into the paper! The paper I used to make these cards are just typical textured card stock scrapbook paper. Those stars are actually beads. It was so easy, and now the beads are very securely attached to the paper.

In the second one, I used the Sharp Crochet Hook to crochet size 10 crochet thread into the paper for a lattice sort of pattern.

I think I'll give these cards to two of my special friends. And when I say they are special friends, I don't mean they are ""special"" (you know, the double quote kind of special), no, they are really great friends that are there for me when things go wrong. Love you! And in a few days, you will know who you are! Assuming you girls are such good friends that you read my blog when you don't even crochet! hah!

Happy crocheting everyone!

PS. If pink, cheerful, happy Valentine's Day Cards are your thing, check these out: http://blog.sharpcrochethook.com/2012/02/easy-crochet-edging-valentines-day.html

Easy "EDGY" edgings

There is just something about the look of black edging. Sultry, mysterious, legendary expectations are words that come to mind. I used the Sharp Crochet Hook to make the gloves and the apron.

The apron is just made out of a 99cent handkerchief. I crocheted a decorative edging on the bottom, and for the top I crocheted a long chain, then crocheted along the top, then crocheted a long chain again to use for tying around my waist.

The gloves are those one size fits all gloves that were 2 pairs for 99 cents. I crocheted an edging  on them with using the Sharp Crochet Hook.

These are two of my favorite things I've made for myself. After being a mom to three girls, being free of PINK is really appealing. I feel like I've spent the last 6 years being covered head to toe in pink, and wearing black is a welcomed change.

Buy the Sharp Crochet Hook today- www.sharpcrochethook.com.

It is going to be legendary.
